Norman Smurthwaite has confirmed that he wants to make the spells of Achille Campion and Reiss Greenidge permanent ones at Port Vale.

Norrby IF loanee striker Campion or West Bromwich Albion loanee defender Greenidge have made a first-team appearance but that hasn’t prevented us from seeking permanent transfer in January.

The chairman told that their signings wouldn’t effect the playing budget with 23-year-old Campion coming in but then being loaned out again.

18-year-old Greenidge would be expected to go the same way with him always very much signed with the long-term in mind.
