Given Oldham have specialised in draws this season, Port Vale drawing with them on Tuesday isn’t really a surprise is it? However, the Valiants had to come from a goal down to draw this one-one.

Oldham went away from Vale Park with a draw to make it seven draws from 10-matches in League 1 having gone ahead through Sheffield United loanee striker Michael Higdon in the first half.

Rob Page turned to one of Vale’s own loanees, Watford’s Uche Ikpeazu, with him earning a point when he converted Sam Foley’s cutback to him.

It goes without saying, as the home side and having won at the weekend, a win would have been anticipated, if not expected, but Page was happy enough to see the Valiants make it four-points from the last six on offer.

The Port Vale boss also, as you would expect, handed some praise to Ikpeazu after his fifth-goal of the season, some brief thoughts are in this video.

Vale will look to make it three unbeaten; a win would be grand, against Sheffield United when they come to Vale Park on Saturday.
