And so it begins. The club have revealed that the forthcoming EGM will be held on the 13th March, the same day as the club`s AGM. The EGM, called by the Port Vale Supporters` Association, aims to remove the current board, consisting of Peter Miller, Perry Deakin, Mike Lloyd and Glenn Oliver, in the hope of replacing it by an interim body that can begin to right the wrongs of the last few months and provide the club with some much needed stability. The collapse of Blue Sky International`s proposed investment, alongside repeated broken promises, as well as the remortgaging of Vale Park have seen frustration and anger amongst the fan base rise to an all time high.

Supporters will have the opportunity to attend tonight`s meeting at Smallthorne Victory WMC (7.30pm) where they can meet and ask questions of the candidates for the interim board.

Meanwhile, Vale`s trip to Aldershot on Saturday 7th April has been brought forward 24 hours to April 6th, with a 3pm kick off.
