Has Lee Sinnott Been Sacked?

BBC Radio Stoke have announced this evening that they believe that Lee Sinnott is no longer the Manager at Vale Park.

As yet there has been no official confirmation from Vale, however Radio Stoke have reported that Sinnott left Vale Park this afternoon with some files and personal belongings after meeting with Chairman Bill Bratt.

Radio Stoke also claim that Bratt had met with two of the senior directors at some point today before meeting with Sinnott.

After failing to keep Vale in League.1 last season it has been a disappointing start to the campaign in League 2, although it has to be said that with an almost completely new team out on the pitch it would always be a case of allowing the squad to gel.

It appears then that Sinnott has not been given the opportunity to mould together a side capable of getting back into League 1.

If this story from Radio Stoke is true then just where do we go from here? If Sinnott has been sacked then his contract will need to be paid up, and with precious little in the coffers how do we find a new Manager?

The answer will doubtlessly be Dean Glover. Glover was given a crack when Martin Foyle left by ‘mutual consent’ and its believed that a number of the Vale Board wanted to offer Glover the job permanently.

More to follow on this story when the facts become clear.

Its been confirmed that he has been sacked. Shoddy treatment in my opinion.

I just hope the Board know what they’re doing. Sinnott may not have been sorting things out on the pitch but do they have someone in mind who can do the business? Surely they are not just going to offer the job to Glover?
