Its Glover V Porter Tonight

The Board want Dean Glover as ‘director of football` with Andy Porter as ‘Head Coach`. Unfortunately there is one snag…

Both Glover (pictured above) and Porter want the final say in team selection, so consequently tonight the Board must vote on who they ultimately want as the Manager.

This is certainly not how the Board had originally envisaged matters turning out when they willfully sacked Lee Sinnott. They had their ideal of a ‘dream team` partnership between Glover and Porter, which is now threatened by both men quite rightly asking for ultimate control over team selection. Did the Board not see this coming?

There is of course another question that this whole issue raises. What will happen to whoever doesn`t get the nod tonight? Will Glover be happy to remain as Assistant Manager should Porter win the approval of the Board? Would Porter want to act as Assistant Manager to Glover?
