Leon: Nothing to prove

Striker Leon Constantine spoke with Radio Stoke after the goalless draw at Brighton about the teams performance, and recent transfer issues…

‘We know we can play alot better. We’ve played alot better and come away with nothing, so, on a positve note we’ve come away with a point.’

‘It was one of those team performances when you had to roll up your sleeves up and just try not to concede and maybe try and nick one, but it didn’t work out that way.’

‘I’m disappointed with my overall performance, I want to score goals, but sometimes there are games where it doesn’t happen like that… It was one of those games where it was dogged and hard.’

Leon was asked if he felt he had to prove himself to the club after the recent proposed move away from Vale Park.

‘No, I haven’t got anything to prove, I just don’t want people to make a big deal out of it really. I’m just one of the boys again.’

<b>’I’m back here just wanting to play my football. I’ll let other people discuss the speculation over this and that.’

‘I’m back with the team, the boys, and hopefully we can get back to winning ways.’
