The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of our game against Colchester this midweek.

Port Vale travel to Colchester on Tuesday October 20 for the game at the Weston Homes Community Stadium and the match carries a 7.45pm kick off.

Referee: Darren Deadman
Linesman: Dave Bushell and Ashvin Degnarain
Fourth Official: Darren Cann

Match Day referee Deadman (Cambridgeshire) is yet to officiate a Port Vale game this season. He has however already taken in nine other matches so far in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and Football divisions, he has handed out a total of 25 yellow cards and one red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Wycombe Wanderers and Hartlepool United on September 5 with a total of four yellows being shown and one red. The game between Barnsley and Gillingham on September 26 also saw five yellow cards shown.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
