The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Southend United this Friday.

Port Vale host Southend United on Friday February 26 for the game at Vale Park and the match carries a 7.45pm kick off.

Referee: Andy Haines
Linesmen: Mark Jones and Chris Isherwood
Fourth Official: David Benton

Match Day referee Haines (Tyne and Wear) is yet to officiate a Port Vale game this season.

He has however already taken in 20 other matches so far in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he has handed out a total of 60 yellow cards and five red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Scunthorpe and Coventry on September 12 with a total of six yellows being shown. He also showed three yellows and three reds in the game between Accrington and Crawley in February.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
