The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Swindon Town this weekend.

Port Vale host Swindon Town on Saturday January 2 for the game at Vale Park and the match carries a 3pm kick off.

Referee: David Coote
Linesmen: Duncan Street and Helen Byrne
Fourth Official: James Mainwaring

Match Day referee Coote (Nottinghamshire) has officiated one Port Vale game this season – the two nil loss to Burton Albion in October. In that game he showed six yellow cards and two red cards. Five of the yellows and one of the reds to Port Vale.

He has however already taken in fifteen other matches so far in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he has handed out a total of 60 yellow cards and two red cards.

He was most card happy in the match above between Burton Albion and Port Vale on October 24 with a total of six yellows being shown plus two reds. He also showed eight yellows in the game between Ipswich and Cardiff on October 31.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
