The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Walsall this weekend.

Port Vale travel to Walsall on Sunday December 20 for the game at the Bescot Stadium and the match carries a 12pm kick off.

Referee: Kevin Wright
Linesmen: Mark Howes and Nicholas Hopton
Fourth Official: David Coote

Match Day referee Wright (Cambridgeshire) is yet to officiate a Port Vale game this season.

He has however already taken in eighteen other matches so far in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and Football divisions, he has handed out a total of 53 yellow cards and three red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Shrewsbury and Gillingham on November 28 with a total of five yellows being shown. He’s shown four yellow cards on six occasions so far this year as well.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
