Former Manchester City striker Alex Nimely has joined Port Vale today on a deal keeping him with us until the end of this season.
The 23 year old striker has been training with us for the past few days following his release from City over the summer, and manager Rob Page has been sufficiently impressed to bring him in on a permanent basis.
The former England youth international started his career with Coton de Garoua in Liberia before moving to Manchester and he has had previous loan spells out with Middlesbrough, Coventry City and Crystal Palace.
Speaking to the Official Site as the deal was announced, Page explained.
‘He has got the pedigree behind him again, he was at Manchester City as a youngster. I spoke to a good friend of mine who says he has quality and we know he is going to bring that quality into the squad so it’s pleasing to get his signature. We need to get him fit, he knows that himself, but I think once we do get him fit we’ll have a player on our hands.’
This site is looking for a new editor but would also like your blogs, so if a fan can offer us a genuine opinion from someone that supports Port Vale we would love to share it with the masses!
