Manager Rob Page has said he feels there’s a lot more to come from Port Vale this season and he’s been pleased with the improvements he feels we have made in recent times.

Speaking to the Official Site Page explained that he’d been delighted with the attitude of the players since taking over from Micky Adams but he knows there’s more improvements to be made and that’s what we’ll be looking to do.

‘I’ve been over the moon with the reaction of the players from the first minute I took over up until now and they’ve been a credit to themselves. They’ve come in, given their best, they go out onto the pitch, give 100% and as a manager that’s all you ask.’

Page goes on to say that our training week is geared so that hopefully all of the players go out on the Saturday knowing their jobs, knowing what they are to do and knowing what their colleagues are likely to do and he feels the players have taken that on board well and it’s been reflected in our performances and results.

‘Like we’ve proved before with Dany scoring Saturday and Browny coming in with his fair share and even Yatesy popping up with the odd goal, there are goals within the team now. I’m pleased but there’s still a lot of room for improvement and it’s still a work in progress but there’s signs that we’re getting to where I want to go.’
