Achille Campion could be heading to the South West if the
BBC is right with them reporting earlier in the week he was looking to fix up a loan move to Torquay.

Torquay have one Port Vale player on loan already, Nathan Smith, and he could be joined by Campion with the striker currently training with the Gulls who are looking to bring him in on loan.

25-year-old Campion hasn’t feature for Vale this season and with Rob Page having other striking options to call on the chances are this isn’t going to chance anytime soon for the Frenchman so a spell with the Non-League side could be a good move for all concerned.

His contract, which at this stage wouldn’t be one the Valiants would expect to extend, expires in the summer.

One that is involved in the first-team, and will be for the foreseeable future is Richard Duffy.

Duffy’s shared some views ahead of the meeting with Burton today, which takes place at the Pirelli Stadium with the Valiants looking to respond to the midweek defeat at Colchester.

The defender, who returns from a suspension that forced him to miss the U’s defeat, told the Official Website.

‘It will be a tough game, they are up in the play-offs, in the top four I think and they are up there for a reason, they are consistent, they don’t concede many goals.

‘I’m not sure they have scored many of late but they win a lot of games by the odd goal.

‘We have to be on the front foot from the start. They have started really well and dropped a few results lately but that’s not to say that they are a poor team or anything.

‘They will come out and they will expected to win the game but we will go there and put our stamp on things.’
