Weekend reports claimed Port Vale’s Enoch Andoh, with these made by the Sunday People, could make a surprise, some would say ‘shock’ even, more to Tottenham in the New Year!

Andoh, once of Porto but most recently with AEL Limassol in Cyprus, is apparently interesting Spurs with them prepared to pay £2.5m for him in January!

The Ghanaian winger, who Rob Page has said with the right guidance with him a ‘work in progress’ could become a good striker, came to Vale Park in November and eventually earned himself a deal after a trial.

It wasn’t until this season though the 22-year-old actually broke into the Valiants’ first-team; he could have even left over the summer! Andoh has impressed this season, however he was left out at the weekend having – not alone admittedly – disappointed in defeat to Fleetwood recently, but has he impressed enough to get a Premier League move?

It’s a very strange claim to make, if there isn’t at least some degree of basis to it, but I suppose we’ll have to wait until January! You tend to think, if it were true, this isn’t an offer Vale would turn down for the man that arrived on a free!
