League 1 continues this weekend with Port Vale back in action with an away game on the menu this time round.

Rob Page takes charge of his first game as permanent Port Vale boss at the Weston Homes Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon as we visit Colchester United.

Colchester’s Alex Gilbey (suspension) is out but Frankie Kent (head) is available again with the likes of Sanchez Watt and Craig Eastmond pushing to be included.

Tom Pope isn’t going to play again this side of Christmas for us with Carl Dickinson (suspension) also out for Rob Page’s first full time game in charge after collecting a fifth yellow card of the season.

Stephane Zubar (suspension) completes his own three-match ban with a full debut possible for Dany N’Guessan

Ahead of the game Vale boss Page told BBC Radio Stoke: ‘We have Jordan Slew, Ben Williamson, Dany N’Guessan and Louis Dodds who can all play up top so we are not short up front.

‘The announcement has been made. Let’s forget about it and get on with focusing on a tough game. They’ve made changes since their new manager has gone in.

‘They’ve won their last two home games 2-1 and drawn both their away games so we’re going to have to be at our very best to get anything.’
