They really don’t like us, do they? The Vital Crewe forum is rampant with virtual trainspotters spewing forth disdain and contempt towards us good citizens who follow Port Vale Football Club.

Why all the animosity? What have we ever done to deserve all this?

Here’s an example: A Vale fan – doubtlessly a decent and true pillar of our society – makes a polite enquiry about purchasing tickets for the ‘home’ end for himself and his two young lads (out of necessity, we’ve sold out our 2200 allocation). What does he receive as a response? Foul-mouthed, vulgar abuse of the highest order, that’s what. Barely a single civilised response to a question that carried no malice or hidden agenda. Astounding bad manners, and I’m sure their Mothers would be deeply disappointed.
