Micky Adams moved to bolster his attacking options by taking Bradford City striker Jake Speight on a month`s loan. The 25 year old joined the Bantams on a two year deal for £25,000 after a summer move from Conference side Mansfield Town, for whom he scored 17 goals last season in only 15 starts. However, Speight has been out of favour with Bradford manager Peter Taylor after failing to reveal to the former Leicester boss that he was due in court over the summer on an assault charge, which ultimately led to Speight serving a 12 week sentence.

Speight will go straight into the Vale squad for Saturday`s derby clash with Crewe.
