The Sentinel has today reported that Danny Whitaker is considering other offers after failing to meet the deadline set by Lee Sinnott.
Vale wanted a ‘yes` or ‘no` to their contract offer by Tuesday 17th, however, Whitaker didn`t even have the courtesy to contact the Vale yesterday – Sinnott apparently spoke to an ‘advisor` who informed him that Danny was weighing up offers from elsewhere.
In his two years at Vale Park Danny became a target for Fans due to his unwillingness to put in a tackle every now and again and general lightweight buffoonery. However, Whitaker was a goal scoring midfielder and was far and away our most creative player last season – although that is not really saying much.
Sinnott has already begun the search for a new midfielder..

No surprises here, Danny obviously wanted away from Vale Park.
The Sentinel reckons that Stockport, Peterborough and another League 1 side are interested.
GOOD PLAYER SOMETIMES BUT NOT WORTH CRYING OVER IF HE WANTS TO GO
Not surprised that Stockport would be looking at him, would have thought that Oldham and Walsall may have made enquiries.
He has signed for the mighty Latics!
Is there a single half decent player that Peterborough arenot linked with?
I thought Oldham would be a decent bet!
When he doesn’t give you an answer either way it doesn’t ever look like he will be staying.
