Port Vale are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by David Worrall in the two all draw with Colchester United at the weekend at Vale Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Worrall was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Worrall scored a brace as Port Vale came from behind not once, but twice, at home to Colchester United, securing a point for Neil Aspin`s side. He firstly cancelled out Courtney Senior`s strike with a low finish past Sam Walker at the near post, before equalising for a second time as proceedings ticked towards their conclusion.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Worrall for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the point.

Full Team:

Craig MacGillivray (Shrewsbury Town), Dan Potts (Luton Town), Ronnie Henry (Stevenage), Matt Doherty (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham), David Worrall (Port Vale), Korey Smith (Bristol City), Jamie Devitt (Carlisle United), Marc Richards (Swindon Town), Coady McDonald (Wimbledon), Tom Eaves (Gillingham).
