Foyle blames referee’s and Sundays.

Martin Foyle has launched an attack on Saturdays referee – Nigel Miller – and has also banned home matches on Sundays!

Speaking to ‘TeamTalk’ Foyle was upset by the award of the corner that led to Huddersfield’s equaliser.

‘Everyone could see the ball come off their lad, apart from the referee. We should have defended better but it was a very poor decision and it cost us.’

‘The goal knocked the wind out of our sails and it just shows how small the difference is between winning and losing in what is an extremely tight league.’

Of referee Nigel Miller Foyle enlightens us with this gem: ‘Its no use going to see him about it because referee’s are on a different planet to the rest of us.’

Adopting a slightly more worrying train of thought The Gaffer has decided to ban home Sunday matches.

Talking to The Sentinel Foyle explains that any game that has to be moved from the traditional Saturday afternoon slot will now take place on a Friday night. This is due to the embarrassing rubbish served up by The Vale on the Sabbath.

Foyle has the statistics to back up his ranting. Apparently Vale haven’t won a home match on a sunday for 10 years. Statistics also show that we haven’t lost a home game on a friday night for 6 years.

Vale have lost both home sunday fixtures this season in disappointing style to Doncaster Rovers and Rotherham United.

So, there we have it. Bad referee’s and Sunday matches are ruining our season. Neither of which can be blamed on the manager. All those Vale fans who point the finger at poor defending from crosses and negative, overly cautious tactics at home have got it totally wrong. Clearly we need to move all our matches to a friday night and carefully vet all potential referee’s. Any Vale fan not wearing his (or her) lucky pants should be immediatly ejected from the ground. Then maybe, just maybe, we’ll be on a level playing field with the rest of the league.
