A tale of two halves. Bournemouth were the worthy leaders in the first half, but Foyles turned things around at half time and Port Vale ended up worthy winners.

Manager Martin Foyle held his hands up and admitted he got the tactics wrong in the first half:

‘I hold my hands up about the first half formation, we dropped off and let them play and Bournemouth are good at that. In the first half our passing was atrocious, we couldn’t string anything together. I feel sorry for Bournemouth because they should’ve been two up.’

Before praising the team for turning things round:

‘But the second half we got in their faces and made it much more difficult for them. So, on the whole there were a lot of plusses in the second half but there were a lot of minuses in the first.’
