This is creating a fair bit of debate! Harlequin Property are now ready to invest £500,000 into Vale, and may install Andy Townsend onto the Vale Board.
The injection of half-a-million from our sponsors Harlequin Property has been kicked around for a little while now, and it seems that this could become a reality by the end of this week.
However, the news that Andy Townsend – former Republic Of Ireland international and present day know-it-all ITV pundit – could well find himself on the Vale Board has come right out of the left-field.
Townsend apparently works as a consultant for Harlequin, and has been spotted at a couple of Vale matches, including Saturdays win at Crewe.
Obviously there are some concerns regarding just how Townsend will ‘fit’ into our Club, but for now I definitely view this news as positive. As long as nothing upsets the fantastic work Micky Adams is achieving for Vale then I am perfectly happy.
