Manager Rob Page has said that he was desperately disappointed to go out in the first round of the FA Cup to MK Dons at the weekend, but clearly there are things the side still needs to learn from the four three defeat.

Speaking to the Official Site Page explained that he and his backroom staff would be reviewing the footage so we could definitely learn from our defensive errors moving forward.

‘There will be aspects of the game that we will address, we will look at it again. The staff certainly will look back at the video and look back over it and see where we can improve and where we let ourselves down a little bit.’

With few positives to take, mainly the fact the side kept plugging away trying to get back into the game and of course Dany N’Guessan’s first strike for us since coming in on a short term deal, the gaffer also talked of his disappointment at now losing Ryan McGivern and Richard Duffy to automatic one match bans.

The pair picked up ‘silly bookings’ in the manager’s mind during the game, and it took them to five for the season, which means they miss one – even though McGivern is on international duty anyway, but he admitted he couldn’t defend or justify either card and he’s now looking for people to step up and give him a question in their absence.

Defender Adam Yates was also interviewed following the game and he admitted he was disappointed with the manner of the defeat because he knows we conceded some poor goals on the day that we simply should’ve done better with.

‘I think we’ve given a good account of ourselves, there’s some sloppy goals in there but we’re playing a side which is going to be there or thereabouts come the end of the season. I thought we gave them a real go, we scored some good goals, we played well, gave everything we had on a tough pitch. But it was one of those games where their quality told.’
