The club have released their season ticket prices for the 2011/12 season. Prices have effectively been frozen although supporters only have until the end of April to purchase one at that price. The move seems to indicate that the club are fast running out of cash and quite how many fans would be able to find the necessary finance at such short notice remains to be seen. With the ‘Starve em out` pledge now showing potential losses of over £250,000, the board are going to come under huge pressure should those who have signed remain true to their word.
Mo Chaudry responded to the news by stating that anyone who has signed the pledge will receive a 10% discount on the early bird April prices should he gain control of the club:
“This afternoon I have been asked by the Starve Em Out campaign what my response is to the season ticket prices as unveiled today. After much thought, I will guarantee that every single Port Vale fan signing the Starve Em Out pledge will get their season ticket at 10% off the April deal offered by the club once I take control of the club. Now let`s make this happen”.
