Tuesday 24th October

Jeff Smith (groin) and Mark McGregor (knee) will both face late fitness tests after limping of in Saturdays game with Huddersfield.

However, both Stefan Moore and Colin Miles are available after missing the weekends home defeat.

Michael Husbands may well be given a start tonight. Husbands has started just one game so far this season, and was unfortunately red carded – resulting in a 3-match ban. Akpo Sodje is the likeliest to stand down for Husbands. A firm favourite with the fans due to his physical approach to the game Akpo has failed to find the net since August.

Manager Martin Foyle has spoke to The Sentinel ahead of tonights game, and explained, ‘We have only about 14 fit players so it is a massive struggle.’

‘We’ll just have to look and see if we can battle through.’

‘Its going to be our hardest game of the season, but its a game to lift everyone at the club. Its a great match for everyone.’

The Editor Says…

Todays news illustrates just how threadbare our squad is. 14 fit players! We don’t have a great deal of options at the best of times and this is an important game for us. A fourth round tie with a big, big club could generate much needed funds for us. We need to bring in new faces in January in every department.

Hopefully the fans will all get behind the team tonight. The last two home games have been frustrating affairs – and not surprisingly fans have got on the Managers and Players back’s. This is a big big game tonight.
