Following the arrival of Sunderland midfielder Billy Knott, Vale boss Micky Adams has allowed two of his midfielders out on loan.
Kaid Mohamed has joined League Two side Bristol Rovers for the rest of the season. The former Cheltenham town man has endured a difficult season with the Valiants. Having found first team opportunities limited, he spent a recent spell with AFC Wimbledon before returning to the Potteries with a less than ringing endorsement from Dons boss Neal Ardley.

Meanwhile, Gary O`Neil has the chance to further his footballing education, teaming up with former Vale Development Coach Jimmy Bell at Southport. The Irishman has been earmarked as one for the future by Assistant manager Mark Grew, and the Vale coaching staff will be hoping he returns with the same improvement shown by Jordan Hugill who has since forced his way into first reckoning following a spell with Gateshead.

We wish them both well.
