Leon Constantine is staying at Port Vale – for the time being, of course.
The official Port Vale website announced this evening that the deal for Leon to move to Barnsley, and Marc Richards to move to Vale Park is off.
Manager Martin Foyle is quoted in the article as saying, ‘Leon’s deal fell through late this afternoon at their end, so he will be back in training on Wednesday morning.’
‘He will be involved in Saturdays game against Northampton in some capacity, depending on his state of mind.’

I can’t believe this! Typical Vale. I’m a big fan of Leon, but we’re stuck with a player who I don’t think wants to play for us anymore, I was getting excited at the prospect of new blood coming in and what about Rodgers? thats gone a bit quiet as well!
disappointing news. Constantine SHOULD play on saturday as we’re still paying his wages.
Bill Bratt is quoted on The Sentinel website saying the deal hasn’t collasped! He reckons there some more ‘wrangling’ to do!
