Damien McCrory has joined Vale from Plymouth Argyle on a months loan. The 18-year-old plays on the left, as a full-back or midfielder.
McCrory, who has represented the Republic Of Ireland at U-18`s level, told the official Vale Site:
“I played for the first team in pre-season, and have played in the reserves since and have done well, so this is an opportunity for me to step up and I am really looking forward to it.”
With Paul Edwards returning to the side in the defeat against Notts County last weekend and giving a really good performance we now have genuine options on the left. If McCory is half as useful as our other loanee Lee Collins we may even end up with a creditable defence. Imagine that.
Vital Port Vale welcomes Damien to Vale Park.

An inexperienced youngster on a one month loan. Ok I shouldn’t criticise until I’ve seen him play but this is not what we need right at the moment. We need someone with flair and imagination in the centre of midfield.
