Despite going down one nil to MK Dons at the weekend, manager Rob Page said he felt that we gave a very good account of ourselves and that he couldn’t have asked for more from the players.

Speaking to the Official Site after a goal on three minutes proved to be enough to bring our three game winning run to an end, a proud manager explained.

‘If you’re going to lose a game of football, lose it in that manner. They’ve given everything to the cause, we’ve got to learn from it, we’ve got to learn from the mistakes we made for the goal. But, like I said, I’m proud of the effort that they have put in but we can’t accept the defeat, we can’t be happy that we’ve lost.’

Freddie Veseli was also speaking after the game, the 22 year old’s second start in succession and he said we could take positives from the match and that he was enjoying the role that Page wanted him to play in terms of bring the ball out from the back and trying to play entertaining football.

‘I try and play my game, obviously I grew up in a different country. The football isn’t the same as English football, I had to adapt, and at first it was difficult. I have to do both sides of the game and if that’s what we want to do, play from the back and use the ball, then I’m comfortable doing it.’
