Pope Signs For Further Month

Vale have been boosted by the news that striker Tom Pope has signed on loan for a further month. The on loan Rotherham forward has scored three times for his boyhood club since joining the Valiants in February. The deal will take Pope`s stay up to the maximum permitted time of 93 days, so he will miss out on the play-offs should Vale manage to secure a place in the top seven.

The Millers recently sacked boss Ronnie Moore, although the temporary management team of Andy Liddell and Paul Warne have given the move their blessing. There is, however, a 24 hour recall clause in place, so Mark Grew may well be on the lookout for some additional cover before the transfer deadline.

If you could, would you like Pope to sign for you next season?

I think Tom would like to stay but will depend on a lot of things. Your new manager, our new manager, what div we are both in. Would we have to pay a fee because we won;t be able to afford him (unless we get taken over!)
