Ex-Vale defender Rhys Weston is reported to be ready to sign a deal with midlands rivals Walsall.
The former Welsh international spent the second half of last season at Vale Park, and although initially impressive his performances became a little ragged as the season drew to a close. Consequently the right-back was not offered a further contract.
Weston had previously played for Arsenal, albeit just one appearance, before joining Cardiff. Weston left Cardiff City to join a norweigan outfit, and was out-of-contract when Vale picked him up in January.

I thought he was very average. No better than George Abbey or Mark McGregor at right-back, but good luck to him anyway.
NOWT SPECIAL REALLY. ANOTHER HAS-BEEN GOING TO WALSALL.
decent enough player, seemed to struggle in the last few games.
did he jump or was he pushed?
