No Takers For David Howland

Micky Adams has today revealed that he has had not one single enquiry regarding our transfer listed midfielder David Howland.

Howland was one of six players who Adams transfer-listed just prior to the beginning of the new season. Of the other five Danny Glover and Luke Prosser went to Salisbury City on loan, Ross Davidson went to Stafford Rangers on loan, Danny Edwards has recently gone to Altrincham, again on loan, and today Adams has told The Sentinel that striker Steve Thompson may also be on his way to Stafford Rangers on a loan deal.

It must be disheartening for the 22-year-old Howland, who finds himself unloved and unwanted. He does have some fans though. The lady sat behind me when we played Darlington reckoned he should be playing instead of Doug Loft, although I have to say I found that statement a little bewildering!

Adams has also told The Sentinel that Ross Davidson may well be extending his current loan spell with Stafford Rangers, click here for the full story…

shame really cus he scored some good goals for us but he is a bit lightweight he needs to bulk up imo.

He’ll be with us for the whole season, stopping Adams from bringing in some quality. The Board got it completely wrong offering new contracts to players before Adams took over.
